Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Looking for someone to do me a favour in Val D'isere

Hey Folks.

I have just left my daughters Kastle DX85's in the Sorbieres chalet in Val D'isere on account of the ski locker lock jamming and breaking. She didn't ski the last day and consequently only hers were left in there when we were obliged to make the call to head off. Most annoying. Yes we tried to get in, but with a hefty damage deposit down we didn't want to get too "creative" with boot-based access options.

I am reaching out to see if there's anyone driving back from Val in the coming weeks that would be able to chuck them in the back of their car and drop them off at Dover or the Eurostar, first service station on the M2 / M20, Ashford Outlet, literally anywhere in the south east of England.

The Chalet management people have not managed to open the locker yet but once they do, they say they will give me a call.

Is there anyone out there who might be able to do me a solid favour at some point in the coming days / weeks and get these back to the UK? All my other options seem to be coming in at *way* more expensive than just replacing the skis so I would also take top tips on how to get to Bourg St Maurice on the cheap. I can see some fairly cheap trains but usually only the one direction.

I live about 20 minutes from Dover or the Tunnel if that helps your calculations.

Many thanks

What a nightmare, can you not ask the Chalet people to send them to you? Its kind of their fault. Not done it since brexit but I used to pay about £40-50 to send ski's one way DHL to France.

@Ed_Moore, If you need them earlier, we are driving home on Saturday, but from Tignes, not Val. So the chalet staff would have to get them to us before Friday evening.

I can’t see why the chalet co shouldn’t be paying to get them back to you unless you broke the locker?

However, glad to see you have a number of options from fellow snowheads
