We had a powder day today - ski touring from our door in Peterlee (new town) 
It was great to be back on snow!
Grass underneath made for very pleasant skiing .

Where I used to live in Darlington there was a park with a hill that I used to ski down ... avoiding the kids on sledges/bin liners

Didn't know you lived there, you aren't the first to ski in Peterlee I first did about 35 years ago.Did you get to Woodhouse park it used to be a decent spot before they turned it into a park.
