Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Morzine to Three Valleys - quickest way?

 Poster: A snowHead

Hi guys,

As the titles says, how can i get from Morzine to 3 Valleys as fast as possible?

Preferably under £1000 but I am open.

Don't fancy a 3 hour car journey.

Helicopter?

Google maps shows it as being about a three hour drive by car which seems right to me.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

It isn't a standard route, so self-driving (or expensive taxi) will almost certainly be quicker than anything else. If you don't want either of those, the best option is likely to be to take a shared transfer Morzine to Geneva Airport and then getting on another shared transport Geneva to your resort in 3V. Quite a lot slower though.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

So you want the fastest way to get between 2 locations that are 3 hours apart by road but don't want to be in a car for 3 hours...

As rjs said, helicopter's probably the only option - and that's assuming there's anywhere at either end that public helicpoters are permitted to land (could well be restricted airspace due to levels of mountain medevac traffic). You have Meribel and Courcheval at the far end but could find yourself having to travel all the way from Morzine to Geneva or Annecy to catch the chopper.

I guess if it's specifically a car you don't want to be in for 3 hours you can certainly get the bus down the valley from Morzine to Cluses. From there you could hire a car/drive for 2.5 hours, maybe change bus (probably multipel times), or catch the train to Moutiers (but that's going to be a loop the long way around Lac d'Annecy so not quick).
