Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Private ski instructors St Johann in Tirol

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi, can anyone recommend a good, patient ski instructor in St Johann for a 57yr old? First time resort skiing for husband, had the usual dry slope & indoor snow slope lessons but he's starting to get a bit nervous about the upcoming holiday. He's just progressing onto parallel turns.
Needs private lessons as his hearing ain't perfect & finds it difficult to hear in group lessons.

You are probably best off asking the local ski schools.
I had a client very much like this last year (he was born deaf but had an implant fitted) and as soon as the enquiry came in they asked if I would do it, as a native English speaker who often teaches at this level it was a perfect fit. I had the guy for an hour a day as soon as the lift opened so it was generally quiet and I could still do my group lessons starting at 9.45.
I find people who have hearing problems actually listen better to what you say maybe because they have to focus more.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Bob is brilliant, at the st Johann ski school (red and yellow jackets) You can request him specifically and I think he’s great, really patient. He’s an older guy too so I think he’d suit your husband (a lot of the other instructors are in their 20s/30s)

My wife and daughter had private lessons few years back now with Skischule Wilderkaiser located just below main gondola opposite Max Pub on Hornweg. Her instructor was a guy called Benji (can’t recall surname, about 40yrs old or so) his English was perfect and he had such a great temperament and patient way of teaching. Did wonders for them both. If he’s still there I’d recommend him
