Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Ischgl Cards instead of cash

 Poster: A snowHead

Group of 10 of us are heading to ischgl in January and would prefer to kitty up and share a kitty Mastercard for food and drinks. We did Mayrhofen last year and got caught out with the prevalence of cash only establishments.

What is Ischgl like for taking cards?

Cheers all

Not been since before Covid but even then most places in town were happy to take cards (so no more having to pop across the bridge from the Kitzloch for __another__ visit to the cash point).

I think most things up the hill took cards too but maybe 1 or 2 were still cash only.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Haha - a Kitty Card could be marketed quite well to a certain demographic!

We use a Hypercard debit card. You can split who has put in what on an app on the phone and make adjustments as you go along. Also if your group splits up - one team carries the card and the other uses a phone and both hit the same "wallet".

I actually have one of these sat on my shelf from when we used to do cash kitties - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/184682628687

Made life a hell of a lot easier as the cash was all in one, easy to pass around place, not a pile of notes and coins being passed around.

I guess the modern version would be a pre-paid debit card that everyone can load - paired with either a Hello Kitty card holder or plastered with Hello Kitty stickers if you wish.
