@tutosat, Verbier expected to open on Friday and with the excellent snow coverage you should be able to ski from Attelas at 2700m all the way back to town at 1500m. Given the easy train access via Le Châble I guess this will be your best bet. Last Friday I ski toured up to the area that will open on Friday and conditions were already excellent

It's confirmed, Verbier will open on Friday
In Verbier website
"Dear winter sports fans, We're delighted to announce that the Lac des Vaux and Attelas-Ruinettes slope will open on Friday, 10th November! "
my question, just 2 slopes?

There are roughly 18 ski resorts open today (Monday) in all of Europe, about 1% of total.
The other 99% are shut.
Solden (Austria) has by far the most open terrain, at 30km.
Hintertux (Austria) has opened 27km.
A rough guess says Verbier will open 5-10km.
Very early in the season.
If you want miles, take a train, plane, or automobile to Austria.

30km isn't "by far" the most if somewhere else has 27km...

Only 50km by road between the two though - glass half full! They’re an awfully long way from Geneva though.

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

Officially it will be lac des Vaux (there are 3 slopes) between Attelas at 2700 and Lac des Vaux at 2400. And then the Attelas piste from 2700m down to Ruinettes at 2200m. These will be in amazing condition for mid November.
You will also be able to ski all the way down from Ruinettes to Verbier at 1500m even though the piste won’t be officially open.
And I’m guessing it will also be possible to ski some of the classic off piste - Creblet, Attelas couloirs etc, although some care will be required!

So is Verbier weekends only, (from the 10th) or open on weekdays too (from the 10th onwards)? - Seems a bit ambiguous from what people are saying here.
