Sad but, part of the job. Which somehow makes it all the more cringe-worthy and mealy-mouthed that the report about this stupendously skilled, and brave man should describe him as having "passed away". He went out with a bang. He died. RIP.

He was playing the game at a much higher level than most. I remember seeing that video a year or two ago and thinking "this guy is not going to live to see his son grow up." @BobinCH, thanks for that. Hard to read without tearing up.
