@davidof, plus the issue that it's difficult/neigh on impossible to now take CTT tests through BASI.
It would mean that those already with the qualification could work self employed for 90 days in Aosta though.

That's the same as France isn't it? According to the BASI website:

If a BASI member enters and passes a Speed Test (exact name to be confirmed but using the same standard as the CTT) on French soil, it would be viewed as a “Bolt On” to the L4 qualification and would meet the requirements for equivalence. A successful pass of this test would effectively replace the ISIA speed test for that member. It is important to note that this is NOT a CTT event and therefore none of the legal entitlements for working across the EU would come with it – it would only apply to France. We will communicate more details on the France speed test itself in due course. |
So now you need to do a country specific EuroTest/CTT as they are now only valid in the "host country". Well done us......

I thought it was now impossible. BASIO say:

I thought it was now impossible. BASIO say:

You'd think so, but no, not strictly. I know someone in France that took the Eurotest last season with a British Passport and BASI qualification. Also I had this message from the German Association:
"Participation in the CTT: If you obtained your qualification before Brexit, you can participate in the CTT", now they just assumed i'm BASI but actually i'm IASI, so that's an interesting conversation for me to have some time in the future
