Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Mainly want it was a powder ski but keen for versatility as well
Weighing up between 187 and 193

I am 6foot2 and x racer skier and weight approx 88kg

what length do you think?

187 for versatility. 193 for hard charging

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

As above. Bear in mind 187+/- is often the longest length in similar skis. If you were heavier or want full charge go longer.

I’m your height and background, but lighter. Mine are 187s, helps in the trees.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Long is best for stability in a straight ish line, short is best for everything else.
I'm similar stats, 185 tall, 90kg, agressive skier.
I'm on Nordica enforcer 110s, a similar ish ski
I went super short at 177cm, especially for a shorter radius turn and the ability to be the absolute boss in the trees & bumps.

Absolutely no regrets about going short, super flickable in the powder & bumps, ridiculous, bum skimming the snow carve angles on piste, whether carving on two skis or just the inner ski.

Scooter - Don't know if you have done a review on these, but would love to get your impressions. I am currently on an old pair of Tt Big Stix 110 in a 186cm. Love the flex and versatility of the ski. It's almost become a daily driver in the PNW. Only leave it at home when it hasn't snowed for a while.

@Toadman, like you I ski a ton at Mt Bachelor. They are not a good daily driver for me there, as their on piste performance is merely good. I use ‘em when it’s really deep or wind packed; otherwise my Mantras seem to be able to crush everything else.
