Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi snowbies, wondering if anyone can help with a question about Alpe d'Huez. I'm going to be staying near the base of the Alpe Express and also the Telecentre lift but which one would be best to use as my first lift of the day. I'd like to rent skis close to the lift and then be able to store them there overnight - which ski rental places would work best for this? I've never been before and can't work out what would be best based on the resort and ski maps I can find. I can't even work out what sort of lift the Telecentre lift is??

The Telecentre is the lift we always called the crap pots
- Its an open lift that you stand in. As to which you will catch it will depend on which side you want to go to - DMC (crap pots) or Le Bergers (Alps Express) as they are two main areas. Both can link up to the glacier although the DMC takes you the highest
Can't help with hire shops as we have always rented but there are a few hire shops around Le Berges although not sure if you can leave stuff there.
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@Rob_Quads
, Les Bergers side is now a proper gondola.

Thanks for your help, that's much appreciated.
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.
