Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Searching for affordable used skis

I'm searching for affordable used skis, priced around $100, suitable for my total beginner girlfriend who stands approximately 5'8 and weighs 125lb. I'm considering the two options mentioned earlier. Given the skiing locations in Ashland and Shasta, Oregon, as well as NorCal, I'd like to know if either of these options would be a good fit, and if so, which one you think would be better for her skill level and the terrain she'll be skiing on.

What options? Assuming this isn't some crude cut and paste the recommendation would be to check out ski swaps in your local area and/or Craigslist, ebay. At that price skis aren't worth shipping in the US so you're limited to what you can find in person so specific recommendations are useless. I assume she already has boots otherwise skis aren't much use. Most entry level piste skis come with adjustable system rail bindings so at least that should work.

@Jonny996, Sorry to trouble you but in your opinion are the C quality skis on this website too far gone to be worth the hassle or are they ok?

Sorry cant speak for C class, A friend got a set of B class last year to leave at our place & they were as good as any hire set, dated but in good condition
