Deb & I are planning on going on the Sat to catch the London Ride freestyle event at the end of the day.

Went last year, some good deals on clothing if you weren't after the latest designs of top of the range. Otherwise the prices were very much what you'd pay in the shops. Some good deals on holidays if you looked around. Not sure i'll go again though. Seeing the freestyle stuff on the small slope was good!!!
Oh and if you search on the web you can get half price tickets from some of the other snow websites - i think www.theboarder.co.uk were certainly doing that offer???

Agree with above post. Also went last year - got some good 1/2price deals from S&R and a lot of good info from many others. Plenty of gadgets, accessories etc. some cheap, some not.
Worth a trip, especially if you've got some shopping to do.

spydejon-are you going to the show at the NEC(British Ski and Snowboard)8th-10th Oct.Come to think of it,is anyone else going.Much the same comments apply to this(as any other)show.You can find the odd bargain but,hey,its snow related and there are usually some good demo's on.Its also a chance to do touchy feelly on the kit that either,you cant handle,or afford

One of the best places for bargins I've found is the Southern Ski Show, held at Calshot, just outside Southampton, on the first weekend in October this year, not a huge show but several companies seem to get rid of their last years stock there, a couple of years ago some friends of mine got a full set of ski clothes including trousers and jackets for under£200 each, all breathable stuff of good quality but the previous years colours so half price

Mr HH got a Killy jacket for 75% off at last year's Olympia show....it's a good place for bargains as long as you don't want this years latest fashion item! I bought my boots there too but paid shop price....got a £25 voucher with them though that I promptly spent on bits and pieces so that was a bit better than buying at the shop.

If ayone does go, to this or any of them please keep an eye put for the "ski shw specials" on the Ski Miquel stand, they had some blinding offers last year that we were unable to take advantage of - if you ouldlet me know what this year's are, I'd appreciate it

Robbie - if you want, I can email you the proof sheet I did for the MK trip. It makes 16 of the small, coloured, stickers - each about 3x1".
You need an A4 single label sticky to print them on, and some scissors.
Dolphingirl - would you like the proof too ? Put some on the stand, give out to the punters ?

Grrr....I've now got to go to Birmingham when the London show is on, and I'll be in the south when everyone else is picking up bargains at the NEC.
