 Poster: A snowHead

Hi, We are planning our second February half-term ski trip. On cost grounds it has been reduced to a choice between Fieberbrun and Niederau. Need blue and red runs for energetic but relatively inexperienced 10 and 12 year old. Any advice welcomed.

@RT48, Welcome to Snowheads. Assuming your flights are already booked, are the "cost grounds" the cheapest accommodation? If that's the key driver then I'd go to Feiberbrun which is now linked (sort of) to Saalbach and a bigger ski area.

Yep, Feiberbrun would get my vote too. It has more variety immediately accessible from the base.
We've had masses of fun there in the pst.

Niderau while small, does also include the area at Auffach-Alpbach on the same lift pass (Ski Juwel) that would be a bus ride from Niderau, this is then a large(r) linked area.
Also, if you've already booked flights to Innsbruck, this is the shorter transfer of the two.

Be aware that depending on your particular half term dates, this might be Fasching week - it is for our half term. I do not make that comment in a negative way. Find out (email the Tourist Information Office?) to see if there are any events taking place that might appeal to a 10 year old and a 12 year old.

We did Niederau for 9 kids 1st ski trip in 2020.Perfect but wouldn't take them for their 2nd trip as there are hardly any runs up top to explore once they got the hang of skiing.Our 2nd trip with the same crew was to Fieberbrunn.Perfect!Quiet slopes at half term and it just has a great feel about it.We didn't get the 5 younger ones (8 to 10 years) over to Hinterglemm via the lift connection but they didn't care.Enough slopes for them in Fieberbrunn.We got the free bus to Leogang one day but couldn't wait to get back as too busy!
