Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Kid's Binding

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi
pardon my ignorance. I am about to mount a kid's binding. The mounting itself isn't the issue, done regular mounts many times.

Binding is a non-GW Look Team 4. Boot a Lange RSJ 60 in 22.5. When I put the boot in the toe pice, the front of the toe lug is like a centimeter away from the anti friction rollers. The only party of the toe piece that make actual contact with the boot seem to be the black pointy ends of the wings. Their tips press onto the shell plastic. Seems a little odd to me? Guess this will eat on the shell very soon?

Am I missing something??

@danbre2022, Sounds like there's a problem with the mount but your links aren't working.

What's the forward pressure indicator showing?

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@danbre2022, I think those bindings are designed for smaller boots, a quick google search suggests that the RSJ 60 has an adult sole above size 22.0.

@rjs, you are right, but www suggests the binding can take both infant an adult soles?

@spyderjon, picture links should be operational now. Bindings are not mounted yet. I am just eyeballing where the boot toe would sit within the binding.

You'll need to Register first of course.

just dug out last season's RSJs in a 21.5. Children sole norm indeed vs adult on the 22.5.

guess I bought a non compatible binding then? The "true kids boot" slides into the binding toe just fine and hits these rollers.

Alright, after this little mishap purchase I am looking for bindings again.

Existing ski has Salomon L6 which takes both child and adult soles. The lesser DIN C5 supposedly as well. Any reason to avoid the C5 for a girl that will be nearing 30kg next winter and likely never weight more than 35 during the ski's lifespan?

thanks!
