Anyone been there? Or even heard of it?

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Thanks for that folks. Booked there for a week 6 March. I will report in full on my return.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

I had a week in nearby Altenmarkt, about 7 or 8yrs ago, and skied the various Sportwelt Amade places. I liked them all, good value, lots of nice cozy mountain restaurants, hardly any Brits, and pleasant wooded skiing.

A bit late reporting back, but still.
Brilliant week mid march, masses of snow and empty piste. Good resort for intermediates, not many hard runs but lots of off piste when I was there. The resort is small, and no British tour operators go there. We travelled Lutfhansa to Salzburg via Krankfurt, then train and taxi to the resort. Good family run hotels, small bars and one club open Thurs - Sat! English not widely spoken, not sure what the ski schools are like. Best bar - The Glasshouse, two good reasons for going and both of them attatched to the barmaid.
Would suit: Small group of beginners/ inters.
Wuold not suit: The psycho death extreme ski team or anyone who likes a Meribel type apres scene.
(If anyone goes and bumps int a sturdy Slovenian chambermaid in the club in Wagrain, nearby, please apologise on my behalf......)

Time to come clean. What have you done? Don't want to take the heat for you if there is any.
