Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Lufthansa adds UK ski flights – including to Austria

Taken from https://www.headforpoints.com/2023/07/23/lufthansa-adds-uk-ski-flights/

Lufthansa has clearly seen the crazy fares that British Airways charges on ski routes during the season and decided that it wants a piece of the pie.

Two new routes are being launched from Heathrow Terminal 2: Salzburg in Austria (no idea why Austrian isn’t flying this) and Friedrichshafen in Germany.

Services run from 16th December to 30th March.

The Salzburg flights will operate on Saturdays and Sundays (11.10 departure from Heathrow).

The Friedrichshafen flights will operate on Saturdays (13.50 departure from Heathrow).

@radar, good news. And of course Lufthansa offer free ski carriage (although you have to phone them to get it added to your booking).

Wouldn't it be good to get some flights from more accessible airports for those of us who live in the good parts of the country.

For those considering Brussels airlines, be advised that although they are part of Lufthansa group, they don't offer free ski carriage.
Only LH, Austrian and Swiss do that. For Swiss there is no need to book ski carriage in advance, just to bring it along to the airport

Having flown BA and Lufthansa the last couple of weeks, it's noticeable how much more leg room you get with Lufthansa. That plus the free chocolate make it an absolute winner!
