When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Travelling on from Munich airport

If anyone is due to travel through Munich airport in the next few days be prepared for delays if you are using the trains. There was a big storm on Tuesday / Wednesday night which caused extensive damage to the transport infrastructure, repairs are still ongoing which means many delays and cancellations. The S Bahn to the airport is now working again, though still with delays. Various issues with regional & long distance trains too. The prognosis is that it should all be sorted by the weekend but not guaranteed. If you are planning on travelling onto Austria (or wherever) it is probably sensible to allow extra time

Not aware of any protests at the airport (I believe there were yesterday in Düsseldorf & Hamburg), there are protests at various locations around the country (including Munich) which is causing some minor disruption on the roads. The trains are just about back to normal so should be OK on Sunday.
