Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi All,

Finding it surprisingly tricky to find any details on the web for the various ski shops and rental places about servicing.
I’ve got a couple of pairs that need a base grind and structure putting in, so want to get an idea of cost and also rough turnaround time, but all the sites seem completely geared to pushing you to the rental booking.

Anyone got any recommendations and give an idea on price and turnaround?
Ideally would rather get it done in resort at the end of the trip rather than make a couple of long round trips in the UK to get it done here.

@ish303, Sorry we are based in 1600 so cannot really help and usually service our own skis anyway. However we have had a few services and repairs done in the resort. I never thought about doing the research on the web but by walking into the shop and talking to the repair staff. My wife completely ripped out the edge of one of her skis over Christmas. We went into the shop (the intersport in Galerie Commerciale) talked to the technician who said he'd have a go at fixing it for 25€. I think a base grind, edge and wax comes in at about 30€ but since I've never had a base grind I am not really sure.

Normally we call in after skiing and the skis are ready the next morning, (though obviously not on a saturday night).
