Mildly amusing, but maybe the airport management should concentrate on improving the customer experience that most of us know is not great, rather than mucking about with kids tube videos.

You'll need to Register first of course.

Agree, after the new terminal opened at Lyon a few years back I haven’t flown into Geneva since. Lyon is a pleasure, Geneva is a rat race sh1tshow!

Yeah it's a bit of a slap in the face really.

Indeed. On our recent return easyjet flight the check-in queue began about 400yds away from the target desks, and ran parallel to the desks, then outside the building, then back in, before approaching the split point for "speedy boarding".. then you've got the slog through security, before a walk of about seemingly 2 miles out to (inevitably) gate 68 to 80 for boarding.

Isn't this the fault of easyJet, rather than GVA administration? Presumably easyJet could put more staff at their checkin, but decide not to to save money? And have you caught a train to Gatwick then had to wait for the shuttle train and then trek all the way across the SkyBridge?

Presumably it's the fault of those who decide to schedule multiple flights by the same carrier at similar times and then decided to allocate the furthest possible departure gates.
There are plenty of staff - but not enough security gates, and the usual too small trays - ensuring each passenger needs 3 to get through the scan.
I've never used Gatwick, but at least there's a train.

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

It is no one's fault...the demand for travel is there so the airlines create a business that deals with that demand as does the airport and the other companies involved. Their business is balanced against what they can get away with...so if there has been a long queue for check in over the last few years then they will argue that people are happy to put up with it so it is acceptable to them.
Given that my flights were very good value (in my opinion) I really don't mind having to queue for a bit at bag drop, through security or at passport control. I was obviously lucky (or it was a well planned trip) when I flew back from Geneva.
I do, however, get annoyed when people moan "it's busy" during school holidays. What do people expect?

Its not just passengers
Pilots are not fans of Geneva for the most part.
I have lost count of the number of late flights due to the plane previously being in Geneva
Avoid weekends and it's fine though.

You know it makes sense.

I've stopped using Geneva and fly Manchester/ Zurich or Basle with either Swiss or easyJet. Far less hassle . ..
