Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Tignes Car Park

Really hoping someone can help....

We are having to drive from Geneva to Tignes for a trip 28th April - 2nd May - as there weren't any transfers for those dates.

I quite like the idea of a leisurely drive from Geneva airport so not really a problem, other than the fact that I've just tried to book a car park via the Tignes website and they are all showing as full.

Anyone know if I have any other options please?

Thanks
F

@fs, the problem is most likely that you are trying to book on dates that are not a complete week, running Saturday to Saturday. The parking contractor's system generally does not like this.

You can either book for different dates which still encompass your stay or simply rock up and park on arrival. There's no financial saving made by booking in advance just the peace of mind that you have a space.

Depending on which Tignes village you are staying in you may want to get parked and then buy the parking you need at the office in Lac 3 carpark under Maison de Tignes (in Tignes Le Lac). That way you can come and go as you please.

During the period you are visiting I've never known the car parks to be full.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Perfect - thank you! I did wonder if it might be something like that. We are staying at le Lac. I was surprised as it isn’t peak season. Thanks for your help!
