Poster: A snowHead
|
I'm planning a girls ski trip (for 'girls' read 40/50 Yr old women, free of husbands, children and cares etc, you get the picture!). I'm looking for a small budget friendly resort, that we can drive to to keep costs down, that won't be mega busy at February half term (does such a place exist? !)
My ski life has existed of driving 2x a year at Christmas/Easter to big, high up resorts- VT, Tignes, Les Arcs, Cervinia etc, so any resort advice that fits the above criteria would be welcomed.
Cheers,
Jo
(currently on 2 week count down till our Tignes trip )

You need to look at the resorts that don’t feature on many British visitors lists, such as Les Sybelles, Val Cenis, Valmeinier, Valloire, Saint Francois Longchamp….much quieter during half term than the usual suspects and easily driveable from Calais

As @pam w says, avoid France entirely.

I would consider Italy, Aosta valley through the Mt Blanc or Valfrejus tunnels if you’re driving. Or fly budget to Turin.
