Hi, I am a strong intermediate skier and have a short break away coming up in Ponte Di Legno. Online resource is coming up short on in some areas, could you good people help with any of the following
• Are there any apres bars in Ponte Di Legno
• Is there a bus beyond 6pm between Passo Tonale and Ponte Di Legno (it doesn’t appear so on the website)
• When do the lifts close, I understand the gondala up to Passo Tonale closes at 5.15pm, do the other lifts close much earlier or at the same time
• How challenging are the black runs in both Passo and Ponte, are they comparable to Saalbach or Kitz in Austria
Any help or general advice would be much appreciated

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

@alan_utchi, the gondola up to Passo Tonale definitely closes later than the other lifts. Can't remember how much later but around 4.30pm is usually standard for most places in Italy.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

thanks for that, I can arrange my first day around that. It's likely I will only arrive in resort around mid day

Just back from Passo. Good for beginners. Needing snow desperately. Can’t comment on the black but the reds weren’t too challenging but fun. Not a huge amount of apres after 8pm, a couple of lovely bars from 4.30pm. Lifts close around 4.45

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Apres is non existent I'm afraid in Passo. The blacks in Passo aren't difficult, most should be reds really, Temu is probably the only black that deserves its rating.

Cheers for the updates, I hope the forecast for next week holds true and some snow hits before the 19th when I travel. Sounds like the blacks will massage my ego a bit then . I'm not wanting massive late night apres, just something after a full days skiing. With staying in Ponte Di Legno I couldn't see any bars at the bottom of the piste on google

When we skied down to ponte we didn’t find a bottom of the piste eatery last week..but kids in tow meant no walking. We were next to the gondola station and I didn’t
See anywhere to drink/eat

It's been a few years since I was in PdL, but as I recall ....
A chill bar, not sure I would really call it apres though: La Rasega Di Donati Giovanbattista Marco
An acceptable italian, that google tells me I liked enough to visit twice: Ristorante Pizzeria Al Tabià
Meat, etc.: La Tana dell'Orso (the Bear's lair), a bit up from PdL, so you may want a taxi, but certainly walkable.
None are at the bottom of the gondola, you need to go into the village.
Temu's difficulty comes from ice, but I really like PdL overall even though you could ski the whole thing twice in an afternoon.
