Hi,
Just looking for a new pair of skis and found them insanely cheap on aplinstore.com
£280 including bindings for a brand new pair of Line Sick Day 2020s
Has anyone ever bought from this site?
Theres plenty of bad reviews out there but some say they got the goods. Im half tempted to just buy them on my credit card and see if they turn up, then Im covered if its a scam or they send the wrong items etc.
Anyone with any experience of them?

Looks like a web only shop, but at least there are contact details The initial low prices appear to be excluding tax, as when you click on an item on the homepage, the price increases 20% when you view the item.

Yes,bought some boots off them. Good value, no problems. But, be prepared to wait as they took 3-4 weeks to arrive ( from Spain bizarrely). My brother also bought boots but had to send them back for a larger replacement, again no problems apart from the return postage he had to pay himself. He was also pleased with the purchase

Just an update, I ordered them last Thursday and they arrived on Monday, the price did go up about £50 from the first time I looked but still £330 including bindings was a fantastic price.
They came from France rather than Spain so I guess they're just drop shipping
I did order them with bindings fitted which they didnt do however but thats not a huge issue.
So if anyone else is reading this, Id give them a go

@medlington, I took a calculated risk ordering by credit card an in stock airbag pack from them on Sunday at what seems to be a ‘too good to be true’ price but not heard anything back other than received confirmation of payment. The item now shows out of stock following my order. Did you receive any communication from them at all in between order confirmation and you receive good the goods? I have a DHL tracking number but I suspect this is allocated automatically at time of order and it’s yet to be collected. I have tried to call but the phone number does not work or at least not from the UK. I don’t think it’s a scam - rather they may be pre-selling stuff that they don’t actually stock.

I got 3 emails from them the same day, just usual order confirmations and one from systempay confirming the payment.
I then got 1 from DHL the next day saying my parcel would be delivered by the Monday, also received a text message saying the same and then they turned up bang on time. Must say I was very shocked after reading the reviews but like you had bought on my credit card so was prepared to make a claim.
I imagine they must be a dropship company who never actually have the stock and luckily for me they're a brand new set of this years skis so I guess the supplier will have had loads.
If I were you Id send an email and then if you dont hear anything back in a week or so Id start the claim with my card company and you can at least show them youve been trying to contact them without reply which should be enough to cancel the payment

As it happens After posting this morning I received an email response from them today advising it will be shipped tomorrow. This is good as I now have intent of delivery which I can show CC company if it doesn’t arrive. I saw this as a punt and hopefully all will be good. My worry was having to wait and then findIng it difficult to source a model quickly in the U.K. to arrive before 19 December.

Just for the record, I bought skis from them. Delivered within 5 days, set up correctly, no problems.

after reading this thread, I thought I would give it a punt and have just bought a couple of pairs of some good quality socks for myself and new goggles for eldest daughter, all for about £45 with tax and delivery. will see how long they take to come, but not going until feb!!!!!

I can happily report I received my 'too good to be true' airbag today and will definitely buy from them again in the future when not in urgent need. Items seem to ship from Germany by DHL and was able top track its week long journey.

I should have read the reviews, I made the mistake or ordering some goggles and received no confirmation or delivery information. No reply to my emails and the phone number does not work.
Avoid this company.

They were very good for me. They always responded when I contacted them via the online form attached to the order details. Delivery takes about a week and can be tracked all the way from Germany

This company is a fraud. Do not buy from them. They sent me the wrong snowboard and now won’t pay for the return. They can’t provide the board after saying they could. They took my money and shipped me a crap board. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

Sorry to hear about your misfortune - you should contact your credit card company who will take on the dispute providing you can substantiate the problem. I had a very positive experience last year when purchasing a too-good-to-be-true discounted Scott Airbag from them and it turned up as per expectations. They only respond to queries via their website email form.

So this alpin ski store appears to be a scam or atleast i feel like I got scammed. Try to contact them and email bounces back, try to call and number busy. Ordered a pair of volki 106 and guessing ill never see them since I've tried to get ahold of them with no response. Some guy named Andrew did respond once but now he's gone. This has got to be a scam!!!! Sends you confirmation number but ticket is never made.

Am definitely not running Alpinstore 
I’ve only ever bought 1 item from them which was a Scott airbag which was a good deal (pricing error?) and it turned up after a few weeks. Good luck!

Disappointing. I've used them twice and they were very good. Two pairs of boots, one pair sent back for a larger pair without problem. A bit slow but for the savings worth it. What I find puzzling is the address you have is in the USA whereas all the dealings I had with them was from Spain.

I think people are comparing different websites here. The opening thread relates to aplinstore.com which I have bought stuff from pre brexit which has always worked out fine. They seam to based in annecy, France.

Hi all, Newbie here with a first post, I’ve just used Alpinstore for a Dakine RAS backpack, I was a bit sceptical having seen the feedback on here but the price was too good to be true so I took a punt like others have done in the knowledge that I could recover the spend through PayPal if it all went south. I was however pleasantly surprised when the backpack turned up a week later exactly as described and quicker than expected. I can only speak for my transaction which went smoothly and seems to corroborate that there is a genuine company behind the address but seems to be a case of take a chance / haphazard service and support.

So, bought some touring boots from them after reading through this forum. The boots arrived remarkably fast maybe 5 days? From France. The boots are $699 in US and with $30 shipping the total was $525. Insane. Don’t hesitate to order from this company.
