Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I posted this in the Snowsports section, but some people have suggested that I also post here as some sHs don't look at the Snowsports section.

British teenager Mia Brookes won GB's first-ever snowboard slopestyle world title at 2023 Freestyle Ski and Snowboarding World Championships on Monday (27 February).

The 16-year-old debutant landed the first ever CAB 1440 double grab in a women’s event FIS competition, to win the title with an astonishing total of 91.38.

Reigning Olympic and world champion Zoi Sadowski-Synnott of New Zealand could not come up with a reply on the final run of the competition and had to settle for silver with 88.78, while Onitsuka Miyabi of Japan completed the podium in third thanks to her 83.05.

Great achievement Mia! Cool

Here's her winning run.

I watched it live this morning, what a great performance and only 16 years old!

Her winning run relied on sticking a 1440 which she said she hadn’t even really done in practise but felt she could do on that jump. Amazing.

I interviewed her at the Bham Show for The Ski Podcast - lovely girl and still blows my mind that she's doing her GCSE's and is a World Champion!
