Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Pyrenees at Easter ?? as far west as possible

Hi All,

Anyone been - the westernmost resort seems to be La Pierre St Martin. We are sailing into Bilbao on the 2nd of April and i though i might squeeze a day or two as part of the family holiday. We are taking our van and caravan so plenty of room to throw in gear and my board, so would only need to rent for the kids. Looks reasonably priced, there is a campsite in the village, which looks nice and small with 12 pitches (exactly what we usually look for).

I don't have winter tyres on the van (renault trafic) and I don't intend putting them on as the 4 tyres are almost new (when they get worn I'll get all season tyres, but for the moment these will have to do). I'm happy to pick up some chains though. I'll be towing the caravan - anyone any advice on access to this area with this outfit?

This would definitely be a bonus day or two rather than a dedicated trip to look for snow opportunities, but seeing as we are in the area its worth looking at the possibilities. Not too interested in venturing much further east as the general plan was to visit Bilbao, Pamplona and then make our way up through France (either west coast cause I'll have my windsurf gear and Sups in the van too, or up the middle to sample the quieter interior cause I like wine, over the following two weeks, leaving cherbourg on the 18th (i think).

Anyway - let me know if you have been to the western Pyrenees around Easter?

Cheers

Oink
