cards work ok in Ischgl on the mountain, all the huttes are largish or owned by the lift company so fully digital.
bars are also happy with cards.
Personally, I still like to do a bit of cash, particularly when tipping the waitresses.

Tangential comment. My son reckoned I wouldn't need Euro cash on my trip to Les Deux Alpes. Strictly speaking he was right, I could squeeze a £1 coin into a luggage trolley at Lyon airport, but it was easier to use a €1 coin. Apart from that, everything was paid for by phone or card.

I was in Austria 2 weeks ago, several signs saying no cards below €20. I made one small purchase with card, they just added 50c on the bill.
