Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Can anyone recommend a private ski instructor for a beginner in Flaine?
Obviously

isn't a real person

Hopeful bump - anyone have any thoughts / recommendations?
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

When I used to rep there he was always the fallback for group members who were struggling, particularly ladies of a certain age who's lost their confidence and/or were always browbeaten by their partners into thinking that they weren't very good. Without fail they'd come back the next day completely transformed.
I recall one in particular whose husband had been telling her she _always_ had to keep her shoulders facing downhill, which really made long turns a problem, who on return would cut off her husband every time he criticised her, with a "Lynn says..." and eventually even "Lynn says I shouldn't listen to anything you say". She was actually a much better skier than him.
Anyway, definitely recommend.

Amazing, thank you so much!
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

If Lynn S not available, we used to see these instructors from Flaine in Les Saisies sometimes, with small groups (they had different jackets then.....). They wouldn't admit that they'd come because the snow was better, but that could be the only reason to make the journey.
They'd be worth trying I reckon, if you don;t get any more personal recommendations.
