Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Just booking ski hire for this coming weekend in Les Get. Seems a lot more expensive that I remembered but could be as we are paying for 4 with older teens now.
We are looking for a decent quality set at the most reasonable price ? Is that a thing.
The cheapest offers seem to be with
Alpinresorts
but I've just heard some bad stories. The 50% off with
skiset
is never actually 50% when I put in all my details.
Any recommendations please

@suki
, i use
Alpinresorts
all the time, and have never had any problems.
also, if you find a better deal elsewhere it is free cancellation up to 3pm of the day before hire period (via email), and usually only a small deposit up front.
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@suki
, Hired through Alpinesorts From Jordan's Sports in Jan 20 for my family, they had good quality kit at the level paid for and good service.
If I was hiring now I would also consider Contat Sports, Ski Love and Purexperience. Le Grenier a Skis will be closed and I've seen some rubbish kit From Ski Republic on the mountain.
Not
Alpinresorts
but have had good experience with Ski Fun Shop in the past.

Of course it's a thing. It's the thing that everybody is looking for!! I'm going to be hiring quite a lot of gear in Les Saisies next week and having looked at the websites and sent a few emails I've come to the conclusion that it's all much of a muchness and none of the "discount" offers mean that much. And I doubt that the grandchildren for whom I'm hiring gear will be able to tell the difference anyway.
