Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Tall child with small feet.

Poster: A snowHead
7 year old is 132 cm tall (today, in weed stage) but has small feet for that height (12.5) so most boots in her size are barely up to her ankles... She's also done 6 weeks of half days on a dry slope and is athletic but skinny. Is working on parallel turns.

She's been fine with the hire boots at the ski club that runs the dry slope but really struggled with the hire boots at Lecht with the bigger size not going tight enough but the smaller ones seeming really soft (plus clear evidence of rubbing at the end of the day). It looked like she couldn't really edge the skis in those boots compared with the experience at MK and ski.club

Also hiring kids' kit seems difficult at the Scottish hills (nowhere in Aviemore) - so thinking about buying boots but there's very little choice in a mondo point 20 that would fit a child with above average height and below average sized feet.

Currently sat in a softplay in Aviemore thanks to the wind closing Cairngorm, hence time to think about day trips without the stress of hiring gear for an awkward shaped child!

Anyone got any experience of the taller (race type) boots in smaller foot sizes? Especially if any adjust for tiny calves Skullie

Thanks!

Lange RSJ50 3-Buckles work great for my daughter. She is now in 21.5s at 130cms but has beenin 19.5s and 20.5s before. The 4-buckles are higher.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?
