So have ended up with a few days unexpected leave over Easter and found some cheap flights to Bergamo. Looking at somewhere a bit different and stumbled across this place. Would be looking at 3 days skiing 9th to 11th April which also happens to be the final day of the season there. Anyone any recent experience of the resort, especially that late in the year?

No local experience myself, but in other resorts in April. I would say, given the southern position, the chance of major slush is big.
But then, should this be the case you could always move to Lake Como (midlake!), which can be glorious around Easter!

I'm hoping to be there in early March. Will report back.
I think current conditions are just OK - most runs open but base a bit thin and relying on artificial.

Southern position? It’s about as far North in Italy as you can get.

I skied in Madesimo March 27th - 1st of April last year. First 2 days resort was 80-90% open. Very few skiers. Snow was good till around 1pm, slush after that. On 3rd day cold and snow arrived and it was fantastic skiing on nearly empty slopes. At the end of 3rd day there was a big party at the bottom and it looked to me like end of season party for locals. Last few days of my stay, less and less lifts were open even in good conditions. Sometimes it felt like I'm the only person skiing there.
Overall, it was great trip and I enjoyed skiing there a lot.
For Madesimo to stay open till 11th of April, conditions would have to be perfect. Book everything refundable and have a back up option.

@Raptor24, Yes, but it is very much south in the Alps. Compare it e.g. with Ischgl, which has its season going until end April-early May.
We were at Lake Como end March three years ago. It was remarkable how little snow there was to be seen, even at the highest peaks around the Swiss-Italian border. At the Lake, wisteria was starting to bloom...

Madesimo is dependent on snow from the south.
It is on the lee-side of the Alps, with prevailing SW-W-NW winds.
Due to this, the variability of the amount of snow between years is larger than to the N of the Alpine ridge.
For 80% of the years, you are fine. Maybe 10-20% of the seasons, they have a "dry" year.
Normally, Madesimo has MASSIVE amounts of snow end-of-season. Like 5-9 meters.
When they close the season, it is not because of lack of snow. It is because the number of skipasses sold is becoming too low.
End of March, the mind of the Italians goes to sea, not to the mountains anymore...
Just checked the snow depth. It is OK this year, but nothing spectacular. About 75 cm in the village. You should be OK.

Yes, exactly. But, additionally, the likeliness of slush at the south side of the Alps is larger. It is warmer at the south side. As always and everywhere.
