Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi, would Igls be a good choice for a non skiing holiday? I’m looking for somewhere snowy, picture postcard pretty, plenty of scenic walks,tobogganing and sightseeing and a hotel with spa and swimming etc, thinking of late January next year

I don't know it, so no help there.
But looking at pictures there it's lovely and a particularly interesting place to visit.
Hopefully someone with more experience can help you out
@Snowlover66
, but looks to be worth a risk at least.
Welcome to snowheads
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

, I don’t know about the hotel facilities, but Igls is a pretty village. There is plenty of scenic walking everywhere in Tirol, so that one’s easy, but I don’t believe there is a toboggan run (Rodelbahn) in Igls. If you scroll down on this link
https://www.innsbruck.info/sport/winter/rodeln.html
there is a map showing the open tracks. The ones at Axams and Glungezer are not far away, though all are accessible if you have a car.

It's easy to get to Innsbruck so yes, very suitable for non skiers.
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Thanks for the useful info, I won’t have a car but it looks like the trams and buses should get me to all the places I need quite easily, I’m gonna book it
