Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi folks, in Selva at the mo and was wondering the best route. I heard there is a new lift open improving the connection.

Any help would be appreciated.

The new lift is stunning, takes quite a while. Are you planning there and back,? Or just one way?

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

There and back if possible but happy to be on first lift to last lift.

Thinking of driving to Alta Badia and starting there. Does the route involve the hidden valley?

We did it the week before last.

Head over Dantercepies before 9, head out to Corvara. Take the Col Alt Gondola on the otherside of the road in Corvara. Head for San Cassiano (Signposted). Before hitting San Cassiano, keep an eye for an easily missed right fork for Armentarola. On the far side of the Armentarola Hotel there will be a queue for buses and taxis. It's well organised, hop in either. You'll be dropped at the Lagazuoi cable car carpark. Walk around the cable car station and cross the road. There's a ski track which takes you to Cinque Torri. Head down the valley until you find the Skyline gondola. This takes you to Cortina. You'll arrive on the Falzarego/Olympic side of Cortina which is a bit blue and quiet. We headed over towards the Tofana piste which became lively as the women's WC GS was in town. Gut and Shifferin came tearing down the track. wink We stayed at the Lagazuoi Rifugio that night to eliminate the time pressure. To return to Selva in the same day, I'd guess that you'd need to be mindful of the time. Sorry about the sparsity of lift and piste names. We don't use maps and tend to navigate by signpost. It's stunning out there BTW and well worth the effort. Madeye-Smiley
