Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Three pairs of skis back from the chalet…all grown out of by the Groms.

First up….Scott Black Majics - 157 long so good for those 5-1 to 5-7 - torsionally stiff, which is great combined with a nice flexing ski longitudinally - so good edge grip and a nice smooth ride. Used for a couple of days only, since they were a duplicate for Grom1. Warden 11 bindings. 118.75.107 12m radius - Scott’s piste ski, but capable of off piste forays, the long rise tip helps with great flotation in powder. These are basically unused…over 600 new, asking offers around 200 gbp plus postage, or pickup from Cambridge.

Second up….Rossignol’s classics 9S - 150 long - made in France sidewall skis with multiple elastomer layering and race plate, 118.67.104 10m radius. Stunning piste skis which are fast and smooooth. These have Volkl-like edge grip on ice. Rossi Axiom 100 turntable bindings - the brilliant ones. DIN 3-10. Very little used, perfect condition. Fully serviced. Asking offers around 90gbp plus postage.

Third up…rather special unused made in France pair of 9X youth FIS race skis - 150 long sidewall skis, with flex tailored for lighter youths - amazing skis with full race plate. 100.65.88 R14 (ie FIS spec and carrying FIS certification) - Rossi Axial 2 bindings 3.5-12 DIN. These were frighteningly expensive but again a duplicate to some Fischer RC4s which the Grom had. Perfect condition, never used. Asking asking offers around 90gb plus postage.
