Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi guys,
First time poster so hopefully this is in the right place!
I’m a snowboarder heading to Serre Chevalier UCPA this Sat 14th-21st Jan and was wondering if anyone else will around during that time?
Or if anyone has been before and has any useful tips?
It’s my first time going solo & staying in a UCPA Eh oh!

Enjoy! It's my fav UCPA.

Make sure you go to the thermal baths one night - super lush. You have to get the bus and will miss dinner so plan to eat out but they are amazing.

You'll have fun! I stayed in Jan 2019 and I can't think of any specific tips. It was comfortable enough (have no others to compare it to), my room was a 6 person but there were 4 of us, with an en suite sink/shower and sharing a toilet with the room next door. There were other english speakers including everyone in my room but I still found it a bit lonely (but I'm on the shy side). My instructor spent 90% of his time speaking English which was great for me, and I ended up in a group of only 6 people, I think I was lucky though as 1 group in particular looked big.

I assume you're doing a full time course (as it's one of the only centres that do) so if not and it appeals I think you can upgrade in the centre for a few 10s of euros, that would be my tip. My riding improved so much. Would go back there or to any other UCPA in the absence of other options.
