marmalady, any of the hire companies at Geneva airport should be able to provide a mini-bus, you'll probably need to give them some notice. Be aware the maximum size of mini-bus that can be driven in France on a UK car driver's licence is 9 seats including the driver, over that number requires a bus driver licence and use of a tachograph.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Sometimes the ~.ch version of the rental companies have vehicles and rates not shown on the .com or .co.uk equivalent pages. This can include minibuses. Just a long shot, but perhaps worth a quick try. Go to the GVA page as a starter.
Hertz have a 15% discount offer at the moment for Gold Club members, membership is free (and gets you a free 2nd driver and upgrade if possible) but you need to have a Gold Membership to get access to the discount.
Where are you going? More people this year are using the train (including us) as you can get an advance train/télépherique/PostBus return to anywhere in CH starting at CHF 104 (£93) 60 days in advance (the SBB Saver Day Pass), but that tends to work better the fewer people in the group. And only for Swiss destinations and ideally if you don’t need a taxi at the other end.

We regularly hire 9 seaters as a family if 6 all with own skis and boots. It’s always between 800 and 1200 per week. Just keep looking and checking as prices fluctuate quite a lot, I recently cancelled and rebooked for Feb as found a deal 200 quid cheaper.

It will depend when you're going but just had a look on SkyScanner based on Feb half term and first 9 seater came in at £1,446. If you're not going half term chances are it will be cheaper.
If you haven't booked your flights yet another option you might want to look at is what we're trying this year - hire a luxury minbus from the UK and drive down, either in one shot or with overnight stops. Van comes in just under £2k, with winter tyrs/chains from https://www.vansforbands.co.uk/winter-holidays, which gets 9 of us down there very socially for about the cost of flying 3 to Geneva at half term.

And note that rental companies in Geneva on the French side do not necessarily have winter tires for every car model/class.
We rented a car 2 years ago and realized that it hadn't winter tyres, was not even possible to get to the model, we rented.
Don't know what is the situation with minibuses but worth to ask from company.
