Poster: A snowHead
|
Hi all,
I'm going to be in Chamonix next week and hoping to get some new ski touring boots while I'm there. Can anyone give me recommendations on the best place to go for this? I don't have particularly difficult feet to fit, mainly looking for somewhere with a good stock of ski touring and free ride boots that can do a decent fitting.
Cheers,
Ed

Sole boot lab. Everyone needs to experience it at least once!

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Sole are great, and I’ve bought boots there and would recommend them, but it’s a small place so I wouldn’t go there expecting a wide choice.

@dangermouse79, Also Concept ... who definitely at the start of the season had a very good range. https://www.conceptproshopchamonix.com/en/ I do have to declare the interest that my brother in law is one of the owners. As a general indication though you probably have to make a reservation at Concept and probably SOLE.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

@dangermouse79, as per the recommendations you received on ukclimbing. Wherever you choose book in advance. Unlikely to be able to just walk in at Sole or Sanglard.

74 models at last count, think it's the biggest range in town by a long way! That said, you're only going to be given the right choice for your chosen discipline and foot shape, so there's a choice of 1.
