Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Rear Entry Ski boot hire

We are in Tignes from 14/01/23 and wife has issues with her feet.

Just wondered if anyone knows whether you can hire rear entry boots, she can't actually get her feet in her standard boots.

Hiring is the way forward, at least to see if the rear entry boot is a success, then more than happy to buy Skullie Toofy Grin

That's the boot that Rivington Alpine sell. Think they sell the Atomic model as well.

I have a friend who also has ongoing foot issues. He hired these in Tignes 3 years ago.

He loved them so much that he ended up buying them off them !

@spyderjon, have emailed Precision & they acknowledge that they do have the boot for hire, result will get these booked & hopefully they will work a treat Toofy Grin

Big Shout Out for Rivington Alpine... Toofy Grin

Spoke to Graham earlier and whilst they haven't got anything that would fit OH he gave some great free advice for which I am greatful...TBH it is a bit late in the day as we are off to Tignes on the 14th Jan Very Happy

I have been in touch with Skimium Duch Sports in resort & booked her a pair of boots, fingers crossed she will be able to get some skiing done Laughing

Rivington actually serviced our skis prior to our cancelled 2020 trip so I know exactly where they are, will be visiting them after our trip no doubt.
