Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Boot fitter recommendations - Uk, North West

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi all,

Wondering if anyone has a recommendation for a boot fitter in the North West? I’m located just south of Manchester and don’t mind travelling a bit but hopefully not too far in case of any issues that may need tweaking!

Trying to avoid having to waste precious mountain time by doing it in resort.

Usual recommendations for that area are for Rivington Alpine and Anything Technical.

I was on an instructor course last week, and one of the fellow candidates is from up your way, and she's talking about a visit to @CEM at Solutions4feet in Bicester, as she doesn't believe the other two are as good.

Another recommendation for Rivington Alpine. Fitted out Mrs G7 and myself. I don't usually have boot issues, but Mrs G7 used to have endless problems with cramp and loss of feeling in her feet when wearing ski boots. Graham spent a fair bit of time tweaking her boots and footbeds. Result= pain free skiing.

Got my boots from Rivington Alpine. I was very impressed by the attention to detail and the sheer amount of time they took.
They were not “pushy” at all.

I also highly recommend Rivington Alpine. I had boots originally fitted there in 2009 and they were great but unfortunately those boots went walkabout last season but I was planning on a visit to Rivington Alpine at the end of the season anyway. Because my old boots disappeared before the end of the season, I had to visit in March. When I rang Graham he warned me that at that time of year he might not have anything suitable and he wouldn’t sell me boots unless he was sure they’d be suitable, so I visited him as I had another ski trip booked in April but was prepared to rent if he had nothing suitable. When I visited and after measuring me up he did have a couple of pairs that he thought would suit, so we went ahead with fitting. I knew it wouldn’t be a quick process after my previous fitting as Graham is nothing but thorough in his fitting process, so it was a good few hours and I ended up with great fitting boots. I used them in April last season and they were perfect without any issues. I’ve also had my son’s boots fitted there a few years ago and again no problems. I wouldn’t use anyone else for my boots and my eldest son actually lives in Bicester, so I could visit Colin and I know he’s highly recommended by many Snowheads and I would use him if I didn’t have Rivington Alpine close by. Since I live just down the road from Rivington Alpine, I can see no reason to travel any further for boots. Graham also gave me great advice about by skis and bindings, which I got sorted by Spyderjon after I told him what Graham had advised. You will get great impartial service from Rivington Alpine and it’s not far for you to travel.
