Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Solo in japan

Stars are starting to align and may manage 2 weeks in Japan end of jan start of Feb. Have flown solo before in Europe and whistler and always worked out well. I have emailed whiterooms so waiting for a reply from them. I would like head up to sopparo straight away with a night or two in Tokyo on way home. Help me with options/ideas and tips on how to fill this trip.

Think £3-4k ex flights should be fine I will try and use some avios for a bed with BA

Either, prob prefer renting car to be honest.
Not bothered on location. Previously done a couple of months salzburg super pass and was happiest winging it ie no digs booked even when coming of hill at end of day but needed a car and just booked on booking.com.
Would like to join a group for a few odd days.
Would love to do a day cat skiing.
Was thinking of booking first couple of nights and whinging it after that but would be out over chinese new year.

Other option was tagging on to snoworks for a 10 day course in inner BC visiting 3 resorts. I have only been to whistler in north America.

End of Australian School Holidays and Chinese New Year during your time frame so Niseko Resort Area will be busy and expensive

3-4k budget is more than enough

Car gives you far more flexibility

Keep contacting with Whiteroom. They may have cancellations.

Basing yourself in the towns and cities will give you the most flexibility at the cheapest prices
