Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

GVA - Les Gets transfer

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Any recommendations for a transfer from GVA to Les Gets? My normal provider (the excellent Taxi Morzine) is fully booked on my travel dates.

There’s only two of us, so I’m umming and ahhing about whether to fork out the full cost of a private transfer, so open to alternatives.

Cheers.

We've used Alpybus in the past with no problems for both private and shared. Have also used Findtransfers to give a good choice of locally based taxis for private transfers.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I've been using Ski-Lifts/Getaway Vans for GVA->Morzine shared transfers 2 or 3 times a season for the last 10 years and never had any real issues or delays. Think it's €100pp return this season.

Wait time between getting to the transfer company desk and setting off for the van often isn't even enough to grab a drink from the tea shop next to the desks. For the return you get a txt message the night before with your pick-up time and the van either arrives on time or 5min early.

We are using Skiidy in December but when we lived in Les Gets our visiting friends and family also used Alpy Bus and Ski Lifts without problems.

We had the same problem and booked with Powdercab the other way last year — we were 5 so went for private but they were very reliable and helpful. Think they also do shared.
