Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I'm off race training in two weeks, for the first time in a few years and wondering what skis to go for... Last time, maybe 6-7 years ago, I loved the atomic GS12, and after that the D2, although the latter felt not as nippy edge to edge.
Hire shop is offering Redster G7 or G9, and I'm just wondering if anyone has skied both, and can offer a comparison. All are basically the same turn radius (18-19).

, if it is from a rental shop take the G9 i am sure you could take them back and swap for the G7 if it was too much of a ski...... (it is one of my favourite consumer race skis BTW) just think more power form the 9 than the 7, that is pretty much the difference

Which did you choose or prefer in the end ? I owned the G7 and loved it unfortunately I left it in ski rack went for lunch and when came out it was gone and a pair of S7 left in place

Didn't try the G7 in the end - the G9 was lovely. I did, unfortunately take a nick out of the edge, so that means I can never darken the door of that hire shop again...
