This poll does exactly what it says on the tin - asks you where you skied last season. Multiple choices allowed.

Where do I wish I'd skiied last season? Scotland! No question - it looked awesome.

J2Dave, I know what you mean - I feel I should ski in Scotland but I'm unlikely too since it requires considerable courage / spontaneity!
Who went to 'other' and where was t? I was only allowed 10 options...

Ian Hopkinson, I'm the second vote for 'other': dubious really, it was the Dubai Snow Dome!

I wonder whether locating the PSB and EOSB's in France is a big biasing factor...
laundryman, did you report back on your trip to the Dubai dome?
Edmundh009, I will use my alterego to add a vote for Scotland for you - I only have the one though so everyone else has to push buttons careful

I had 3 trips, all to France.
Eosb was a factor in 1, but companies that we like to holiday with only do France

Austria for me this past season, but it looks like that France is still very popular with the Brits.

So far "Other" covers 2 Spain, 1 Dubai and 4 'unreported'

Maybe its Bulgaria or Romania or somewhere like that?

Other must include English snowdomes, dry slopes etc. That's why I voted it.
What's a half trip? I think the numbers will skew towards France inevitably as anyone keen will have squeezed a quick weekend in there regardless of other trips.

4 trips:
2 to France, Chamonix at xmas and Val Thorens for the EOSB
1 to Switzerland, Zermatt in Jan which I included Italy, as we skiied into Cervinia a couple of times
1 to Austria, St Anton in March, taking in St Paddys Day

It's a bit like the Eurovision Song Contest except that Scandinavia won that one and have "nil points" in this.
Anyway 2 French trips and 1 Canadian for me this year.

Looking at the number of votes, and the number of voters, 2.09 is the average number of countries visited by snowHeads to ski this year.

Only 1 week - Tignes first week in April - but my best ever snow

Or u could say that, on average, each snowHead skied in France 0.78 times this year.

Mmm, tricky one that. The poll isn't able to take into account the number of repeat visits to any country (eg, I made 9 trips to France but none to any other country). Perhaps we need another poll?
|
|
|
|
|
|
OK, fair enough rob@rar.org.uk, I guess I'll re-phrase it
- what I meant was: there appears to be a probability of 0.78 that a snowHead skied in France this season.
(although with 'votes just in' that's now dropped to 0.77)
Anyone got a swingometer built in Flash or something?

Plus it doesn't take boneheadedness into account. I only checked the France box before I realised I could tick more than one option
rob@rar.org.uk, ought perhaps to be targeting eg UK residents only as expats/seasonaires distort the findings a bit, especially if number of skiing days are taken into account somehow.
