Not such a stupid thing to think, didn't Everest change size a couple of years back?

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Kramer, I think the best *measured* height for Everest changed, the mountain stayed the same height, except for the underlying small increase due to the Indian subcontinent crashing into the rest of Asia.

fatbob, what makes you think the merger will create a wider range (presumably of skis)?

SZK will no doubt have a better view on this - but K2 have been quite acquisitive in the snowboard market owning a number of brands which sit on the shelves side by side at different price points & targetted at slightly different markets.
Now in terms of ski offerings they have K2 with a wide offering, Voelkl with European race heritage & popular big mountain range and now a more niche "core freestyle/freeride" and backcountry brand. There's probably more overlap in their range now but the average customer knows very little about ultimate ownership so I'd think they'll keep the brands separate - its a bit like Proctor & Gamble offering 5+ brands of washing powder.
