Poster: A snowHead

I've been to tignes before but stayed in tignes le brev which was just too far away.
crystal have just emailed me with a deal for a chalet near Palafour lift in Le Lac.
Question is is Le Lac reasonably lively or is it best to find some place in Val Claret. Group of 6 or so, mostly pretty good skiers, one beginner maybe ?

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

Le Lac has the swimming pool, the climbing wall and the sports centre so is lively. It also has good lift connections

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@Sarny, there's enough going on, plus the bus round to Val Claret runs all night as well if you feel you want to go round there.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Plenty of bars and restaurants around le lac. Better to stay at than val Claret IMO. Not been for a while but there always used to be at least two late opening bars/clubs. The Alpaka was always fave for early evening drinks, google doesn't show it now, has it closed for good, or just changed its operation? Still seems to have a website, but not as a bar.

@Chaletbeauroc, The Alpaka was knocked down 5 years ago and is now a 130 bed 5 star hotel! The Diamond Rock.
@Sarny, Plenty of bars in Lac whatever your demographic. A new night club, Strike, opened last year about 40 yards from the Palafour lift.
Val Claret has a few more bars and 2 nightclubs but as John said the free bus sorts that. But, depending on where you are in VC, it can be very noisy if you have had enough!
