Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Buying new kit, NE Scotland or Morzine?

Hi all,

Is there anywhere in Scotland (preferably North East) with a good selection of kit/recommended boot fitters, or would I be better off waiting until we're in Morzine at the end of December? The last time I was in Morzine was 12 years ago and I was snowboarding, not skiing so I have no idea what is available there/who is recommended. For boots at least I don't want to order online as I've had the fear put into me!

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Second that.

Was pre pandemic, but no hard sell, got me an excellent fit and very decent aftercare for a minor adjustment.

I always think it depends who the person is though, and cant remember the name of the specific chap.

Craigdon Mountain Sports in Aberdeen, I've always had good service there when buying ski boots

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

@damanpunk, I would definitely shop locally for boots if you can, that way you can wear your boots at home to get used to them and find out if they need any adjustments before you go.

Thanks for all the advice, that’s given me a few avenues to explore. That’s a good shout Larry, thanks.
