Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Cross country lessons - Wagrain.

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
My husband has always been interested in cross country skiing and last year was suffering a lot with his knee downhill skiing.

We are going to Wagrain for Christmas week. Can anybody recommend anywhere he can sign upto a course and recommend on hiring stuff as well during that week?

Snowspace Salzburg looks like our closest main lift.

Many thanks

@NickyJ, I'm sure redandwhiteflachau, who has a rental in Wagrain, will advise, but Snowspace Salzburg isn't a lift - its the ski area. Your valley lifts in Wagrain are the Rote 8, Flying Mozart and Graffenberg

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@holidayloverxx, thanks for clarifying! Was looking at the map and that was label next to what looked like a lift station. Ooops

Here is google maps image which I have now put address into which does label lifts.

Between the Grafenberg and Flying Mozart, both about a 1km walk. The Flying Mozart is up a hill but you can get the shuttle bus at the Spar at the end of the street to both lifts, at the junction of Kirchboden and Markt, about 5 mins walk - best to check though

@NickyJ, Have you booked one of my apartments? Very Happy Haid 10 is our building but we share with other owners. I was there two hours ago, we've just had the Wellness Area repainted. @holidayloverxx, is correct about the buses, you can go either way from the Spar shop.

As for Cross-Country skiing, in Wagrain, the Red White Red Ski School does offer cross country lessons for beginners. But it is a bit of a schelp down to the "Loipe" and it isn't easy at the Wagrain end. https://www.rot-weiss-rot.at/en/ski-school-rental.html

I would say you're better off coming over to Flachau. At Sport am Jet, https://www.sportamjet.at/ we offer two hour introduction lessons (including all the gear) and the Loipe is straight out the door. If you're here 21-28 Dec then best to get your booking in early. If you don't have a car, I would suggest you ski over in the morning (straight up the Flying Mozart lift) and book a lesson for a couple of hours in the afternoon. Later in the week we are more likely to fit you in as adult ski school finishes on Wednesdays. You'll probably get me as your Instructor if you book early enough. Email the team on sport@amjet.at

All dependent on there being snow in the valley. There was last year, but if there isn't then nearest option would be up at Filzmoos.
