Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Welcome to Snowheads, @xmasski23. Given that your non-standard dates span two of the busiest and most profitable weeks of the year, and you are single, I'm afraid that most options WILL cost the earth.

Yep, you’re pretty much looking at 2500 €/week for accommodation alone. If there’s any availability in the first place.

However after ca. 10 minutes of planning for dec 26 - jan 02:

Flights to Munich & back ca. £150
ÖBB from MUC to Schladming and back £140
Single room at Alpinhotel Maistatt £1100, (half-board which is a plus- although the hotel seems to be about half a mile’s walk away from the town centre, near to lifts however)
Lift passes ca. £300

…so you’re looking at a total of £1700 plus lunch, beer and possible gear rent.

Edit: had to re-check the train tickets and adjust the price up, seems that they too are much dearer on holidays.

Another option could be Zell am See: there’s one hotel room left for a reasonable price of £750 in a relatively attractive hotel (Steinerwirt 1493) in the town centre. Similarly an easy transfer from Munich or Salzburg (but the flights to Salzburg seem to be much dearer than Munich, depending ofc where you’re flying from).
