Hi
For the first time, we are taking a late night Eurotunnel crossing. Therefore, we are looking for a hotel within a few hours from Eurotunnel. Arrival time will be after midnight/early hours and so will need a late/24hr check-in, be dog friendly and easy access from the A26.
Just need a few hours rest before continuing the journey the next day. Any suggestions or recommendations?

You'd have to check on dogs (but a quick Google seems to say 'We're pet friendly') but used the ibis Budget Saint Quentin Center Gare driving down at half term and arriving at half midnight to a friendly welcome. Little car park opposite that still had spaces when we arrived so should be fine the rest of the season.
That's about 90min from Calais, or you can push on to Troyes about another 60min down the road.

Reims Tinqueux is about 2.5 hrs from Calais and there are a group of hotels right next to the motorway junction...eg Novotel, Ibis etc. It might be slightly quicker if you don't stop between Calais and Reims.

The very wonderful F1 in Reims was particularly '0 frills' but it was €15pp including a towel AND the beds were comfy!! 3.7* Recommended.

If you're going as far as Reims I always feel it's worth getting south, passed any autoroute queues on and off the free section.

@pam w, I don't ever recall seeing any queues there. Certainly not since the A4 section was built and you bypass the city autoroute.

My memories are of driving north, with half term queues coming south - but these late season weeks aren't usually a problem for traffic. Except at Dover, it seems today!

Great thanks will take a look at the suggestions.
Normally we leave early morning and drive on through the day. However, this time we couldn't get a morning crossing and so we're heading out the night before straight after work. Therefore don't think we'll manage to drive on through the night and so will need a stop somewhere.

We use Cit'otel Le Pot D'Etain about two hours from the tunnel, it's a motel and you can park outside the room which we like. Good restaruant for the evening - only so/so breakfast but clean and convenient.
On the way down, we have used Ibis Troyes Est and it is as you would expect - cheap, clean and a surprisingly decent coffee and cereal/toast breakfest for about 6 Euros.
We have also used Le Val Moret which is good but 4 hours from the Tunnel. A bit more expensive than an Ibis but again - convenient and easy parking near the room. All are very convenient for the Autoroutes.

There are the same chain hotels in Laon if you can't get in to one in St. Quentin or Reims.

Cheap and cheerful for a short nap, the Premiere Classes, Reims tinqueux is functional and handy location…..slightly more and so much more pleasant is the Tour de Crecy in Crecy-sur-serre. Fabulous little family hotel, fairly basic but very friendly and fab food.

We used the Ibis Troyes Est this time, as picking up child meant delayed departure. Pleasantly surprised and a variety of eateries close by as well - we did just go Burger King as immediate food needed.
Is 4 hours from Calais as noted however it broke journey up well and we were still in resort by 1:30, including a valley shopping stop

Thanks for all the suggestions. We've booked the B&B St Quentin as this looks to fit the requirements and seems to be a popular choice.
