Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi guys,
Arriving in Val D'Isere this afternoon and looking for some recommendations from the community.
First and foremost, I need a good pubs/bar to watch the 6 nations rugby please. Any suggestions welcome.
Other than that, really keen on some recommendations for:
1. Lunch on the mountain. Love a good traditional mountain meal spot ideally.
2. Restaurants for dinner in Val D'Isere village. Any suggestions welcome.
Thanks all.
Joe G

THE rugby pub...if you can get in..is Le Bar XV. (Bar 15)
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Try Hibou at the Portillo building for the rugby. Good atmosphere last weekend for the rugby.
Lunch - Edelweiss and Triffolet for sit down meals are our favourites.
Dinner - Source and Garage for mid range (Casa Scara is good but the service has been very slow our past 2 visits) We’ve visited LouLou once this season and it was excellent but not cheap.
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

@joeyg
, if you are still there - we got back last night (watched rugby in Le Petit Danois, it was banging and the burgers are good), places for dinner that were good - Casa Scara, service was fine for us on Friday, Le Lodge really good, Source was not so good for us this week. If you are there Wednesday and like chicken wings, Wings Wednesday at Le Hibou is hard to beat!
