Hi, What is the latest I could go to Avoriaz and expect semi decent snow? Is the first week of Easter holidays any good? Anyone been then? Thanks all.

Yeah, Easter school holidays vary so you'd have to be more specific.
However, there would be semi decent snow in most high mountain resorts/areas (1800m+) right through April. Obviously the higher and more north facing the better.

Hi Langers,
We go Avoriaz every year during Easter - there is always more than enough snow to keep us happy. Most years they're still receiving significant dumps of powder on or after we've gone home (occasionally into May after the resort has closed!).
There was one year where it had been unseasonably warm across the whole of the alps, and the resort operators were still able push the remaining snow to where it was needed, so book with confidence.
I'm actually just about to book our final family trip of the season there for 10-15th April.
Enjoy!

Sorry to jump on this thread but how about staying in Les Gets around this time? I’ve found a solo ski deal for Les Gets (9th-16th) where they’ll provide transport to Avoriaz but is much still open on Les Gets from a bar/restaurant perspective?! Thank you ️

@lauragaillard, hmmm the first link I found has Les Gets closing Apr 10. I would not want to be getting bussed to (guessing) Prodains or Argent every morning/evening.

You’re right is closes on the Sunday! Monday - Friday they will drive us (private mini bus) over to Avoriaz. Wishful thinking it means we can relax for an additional 20 mins in the van and also enjoy a drink or 2 in the day?! Am I mad?

@lauragaillard, no, not really.
It will probably only be a genuine 20 mins (they'll be dropping you at Prodains or Ardent bubbles). If Ardent for sure there is what looks to be (and I am told) a nice apres ski bar at the bottom.
So if everything else stacks up it's not a terrible idea at all (you just need to be aware of the obvious constraints). Also, might be worth checking on flexibility of timings, as usually at that time of year you don't want to be starting too early (hopefully, for the snow conditioning, it'll be rock solid till at least 10ish).

Good to know. I think I will give it till next week and then make a rash decision!
Thank you all

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.
